Is Rosaleen casted as a real mother figure to Lily?
I believe that Rosaleen’s character was not meant to be a motherly figure to Lily. T. Ray only has Rosaleen on the farm to help work not take care of Lily. I also believe that Lily wants Rosaleen to be their like her mother would but Rosaleen doesn’t know how to act like one. I know that she really cares about Lily, but doesn’t know how to act like a mother. But maybe later in the book they’ll become closer than ever and Rosaleen will be able to learn how to love Lily like a daughter.

Amber- I totally agree with you. Yes Rosaleen cares for Lily alot, probably more than T-Ray, but i really dont believe she could ever be a mother like figure to Lily. I think the only thing Rosaleen will ever be to Lily is a bigger sister, i just cant pivture her being mother like figure to her.
