Is Rosaleen a mother figure?

In my eye's Rosaleen is not a motherly figure to Lily. Yes, Rosaleen cares for Lily alot, but i just cant picutre her becoming a motherly figure. When Lily and Rosaleen ran away, Rosaleen should of took control and went and talked to people and everything. She shouldn't of just sat there and spit in her snuss jug. It just shows to me that i dont think Rosaleen is mature enough to be a mother, if anything just a bigger sister THAT'S IT!!!

    I agree with you on some points about how you dont think that Rosaleen is a true mother figure to Lily. But I dont agree when you say that Rosaleen should have been the one to step up and be the one to talk to people, but I dont think that she could have because she is black and I dont think that people would want to talk to her. Also at first Rosaleen didn't even want to go.
    p.s. its not "snuss", its "snuff" ha =]
